We’ve just launched our latest fundraising event – Take on the Tower! This is a great opportunity to get fit while raising money for YMCATG at the same time.
Taking place on Saturday 24 November, #TeamYMCA will tackle the 877 steps over 35 floors of the Broadgate Tower in the heart of the City of London. This will be a festival of tower running celebrating the popularity of vertical running in the UK. We’re offering you the chance to do this for free if you guarantee to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for your chosen option.
|Individual climb (877 steps)||£75|
|Adult + child (8-15 yrs, 877 steps)||£75 (together)|
|Family climb, (2 adults, 2 children, 877 steps)||£150 (together)|
|¼ Mile (3 times – 2631 steps)||£100|
|Full Mile (12 times – 10,524 steps)||£200|
All participants will receive a YMCA branded technical t-shirt to wear on the day; we’d love to see a flood of t-shirts on the roof celebrating your achievements!
Nearer the time we’ll be working with the fitness team to provide some tailored training to help you make sure you’re ready for the day.
If you’re worried about the fundraising aspect, please do have a chat with our Fundraising Manager, Emma Middleton. There are lots of ways of raising money without directly asking your friends and family (although you should always set up a fundraising page and share the photos of your challenge as you’ll be surprised who will donate to see you being challenged!).
So if you’d like to join Sara, Heather, Jo, Gemma, Kat, Viki, Darren and Joe, please get in touch and I can give you the entry code to register for free!
